“Ethnicity and the millennium goals in Latin America and the Caribbean”.
In this study we analyze the situation of indigenous and afro-descendent groups vis-à-vis euro-descendent and mestizo groups using micro-data from household surveys from fifteen LAC countries. The study mainly focuses on the analysis of the first three MDGs: (1) Halving extreme poverty and hunger; (2) Achieving universal primary education; and (3) Promoting gender equality.
