“Determinantes de la utilización de los servicios de salud: el caso de los niños en Argentina”.

This paper studies the determinants of the demand for health services (physicians and hospitals) and their evolution. Using data from 1997 and 2001, the study finds that first-born children have a higher probability of exposure to both services. Besides, the results show differences in the factors which affect contact and the frequency of medical services. The quantity of health establishments and health coverage influence access, but labor force participation of parents only affects frequency of use.
