This work constitutes an integral analysis of the economics of education, covering 4 wide issues; namely: The determination of intelligence and its relation to education; The education production function and the determinants of academic achievement, The allocation of time among work, study and leisure in an inter temporal framework; and The rates of return on human capital investments. We also present a novel household survey data, along with an array of experiments designed to test some production function hypothesis. Although we recommend the reading of the whole work, it’s organized so as to make sure a particular reader may choose to browse a specific chapter without losing of generality.
